Profil

Meine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Siedlungs-, Landschafts- und Geoarchäologie. Im Rahmen meines Doktorats habe ich architektonische Wiederverwendung und Auflassungsprozesse im Neolithikum und Anthropozän am Beispiel der Siedlung Göbekli Tepe (Türkei) untersucht. Aktuell befasse ich mich mit Interaktionen zwischen Mensch und Landschaft im Nordwesten der Arabischen Halbinsel. In meine Arbeit beziehe ich mikroarchäologische Methoden sowie soziologische und politikwissenschaftliche Theorien ein. Ausserdem befasse ich mich mit kritischen Kulturerbestudien und dem Forschungsfeld Hertitage Futures.

My research focuses on settlement, landscape, and geoarchaeology. During my PhD, I examinded architectural reuse and processes of abandonment in the Neolithic and the Anthropocene, with the settlement of Göbekli Tepe (Türkiye) as a case study. At present, my work explores human–landscape interactions in the north-western Arabian Peninsula. I integrate microarchaeological approaches as well as sociological and political theory, and also engage with critical heritage studies and the emerging field of Heritage Futures.
